Aimer Drops Ranking of Kings: Treasure Chest of Courage Ending Theme MV

 

 

The official YouTube channel for anisong singer Aimer has started streaming a music video for her 22nd CD single song “Atemonaku” (Aimlessly). The emotional ballad tune is now used as the ending theme for the 2023 spring TV anime Ranking of Kings: Treasure Chest of Courage.

 

The song was already released digitally on April 21, and its CD single will be available on May 10. The music video depicts the sound and world view of the song with themes of nostalgia and friendship. Aimer wrote on Twitter simply, “Thank you for watching and listening!”

Following the 23-episode TV anime series that was aired from October 2021 to March 2022, the much-awaited sequel consisting of special episodes that were not told in the first series, Ranking of Kings: Treasure Chest of Courage premiered in Japan on April 14, and has also been simulcast on Crunchyroll for members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS and India.

How prosperous your nation is, how many powerful warriors it boasts, and how heroic and strong its king is. These are the criteria that factor into the system known as the Ranking of Kings. The main character, Bojji, was born the first prince of the kingdom ruled by King Bossu, who is ranked number seven. But Bojji was born unable to hear and is so powerless that he can’t even swing a sword. In consequence, his own retainers and the public, look down upon him as completely unfit to be king.
