Aikatsu! VA Rin Aira Takes A Hiatus from Activities to Focus on Her Recuperation
Voice actress Rin Aira announced on her official Twitter account on January 18 that she will take a temporary hiatus from activities for a while in order to concentrate on her rest and recuperation. She had been inactive since December 2022 due to a poor health condition.
In 2018, she was selected as the grand prix winner in the Miracle Voice Actor Audition for the TV anime Aikatsu Friends!, and made her voice acting debut in April 2019 as Wakaba Harukaze in the anime. Then, she was cast as Raki Kiseki, the protagonist of Aikatsu on Parade!, a sequel to Aikatsu Friends!, in the same year. She won the Best New Actress Award at the 15th Seiyu Awards in 2021.
Her agency, HoriPro International writes as below:
Thank you for your continued warm support for Rin Aira. Due to her poor health condition, Rin Aira, a member of our company, has been inactive since December 2022. We would like to inform you that she will take a temporary hiatus from January 18, 2023, in order to concentrate on her rest and recuperation. In accordance with the suspension, all social networking services will also be suspended from January 18. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and concern this may cause to our fans and other parties concerned. Thank you for your understanding.
She has also canceled her appearances in the “Aikatsu! Series 10th Thanks Party -4th Month-” event on January 22 and the “Aikatsu! Series 10th ANNIVERSARY Aikatsu! Music Festa FINAL” event on February 18 and 19.
