Snow Miku Celebrates Sapporo City’s 100th Anniversary with Frame Stamp

Crypton Future Media started offering original frame stamps of Snow Miku (Hatsune Miku), a character that supports Hokkaido, at 227 post offices in Sapporo City and the Post Office Internet Shop on July 15.

This product was produced as part of the “Sapporo City 100th Anniversary Commemorative Project” for which Snow Miku has served as the PR ambassador.

Snow Miku was created when a pure white snow sculpture of “Hatsune Miku” was created at the Sapporo Snow Festival in 2010. Since then, Snow Miku has supported various efforts to enliven Hokkaido as a character that supports the region.

On August 1, 2022, Sapporo City in Hokkaido will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the enforcement of the municipal organization.

Commemorative events to celebrate this milestone began on June 1, and its special website has also opened to introduce its PR ambassador Snow Miku in her red and white costume drawn by popular illustrator Hanekoto (The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten novel illustrator).

The “Snow Miku” original frame stamps are limited to 1,000 sheets and come in a set of five 84 yen stamps. The price of the set is 1,000 yen (7.22 USD)

Snow Miku has served as PR ambassador alongside Japanese comedian Masanori Hasegawa (comedy duo Nishikigoi member), since June 1.
