Space Battleship Tiramisu Stage Play Reaches for the Stars
A pair of cool new key visuals featuring the main cast in full costume and makeup have been published for the upcoming third stage play adaptation of Space Battleship Tiramisu, a science fiction comedy manga written by Satoshi Miyakawa and illustrated by Kei Ito about a brilliant but anti-social young pilot who spends all his spare time in the cockpit of his battle mecha.
The visuals feature:
Kentarō Menjō as Subaru Ichinose.
And Gaku Takamoto as Isuzu Ichinose.
The latest Space Battleship Tiramisu stage play adaptation is entitled Uchuu Senkan Tiramisu ~ Ginga Ressha de Yuukaku Ikite-e Na-a Hen~ (“Space Battleship Tiramisu ~I Guess We’re Going to the Red Light District via the Milky Way Railway Story~”), and it is directed by Kazuhito Yoneyama and features a script by Kazuhito Yoneyama and Satoshi Miyakawa.
The production will run from October 07 – 16, 2022, at the Tokyo Metropolitan Kokumin Mutual Aid coop Hall Space Zero venue in Tokyo.
Space Battleship Tiramisu has also been adapted into a short form TV anime with direction by Hiroshi Ikehata and animation production by Gonzo. Crunchyroll currently streams both seasons of the Space Battleship Tiramisu TV anime, and describes the story of the series as follows:
The Earth Union is locked in a massive galactic war. Aboard the Space Battleship Tiramisu, ace pilot Subaru Ichinose carries the fate of humanity on his shoulders. Life for Subaru is tough. But nothing relieves tension quite like launching an all-out food-based assault on his own face. Snug as a bug in a rug, Subaru soothingly unwinds in his personal mecha, “Durandal F,” as bliss overtakes him.
