Shizuka Mikazuki, the secondary main character of Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead and a cool pragmatist, will officially be voiced by Tomori Kusunoki (Makima in Chainsaw Man) in the upcoming anime adaptation of the horror-comedy series, joining Shuichiro Umeda (Izumi in Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie) as Akira Tendo.

Based on the manga by Haro Aso and Kotaro Takata, Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead is being directed by Kazuki Kawagoe (Komi Can’t Communicate) at studio BUG FILMS, with series composition by Hiroshi Seko (JUJUTSU KAISEN), character designs by Kii Tanaka (So I’m a Spider, So What?) and music by Makoto Miyazaki (One Punch Man).

 

VIZ Media, which publishes the manga’s official English version, describes the series as such:

 

With three years under his belt at the company from hell, Akira Tendo is mentally and physically spent.

 

All at the ripe old age of twenty-four. Even his crush from Accounting, Saori, wants nothing to do with him.

 

Then, just when life is beginning to look like one big disappointment, it happens.

 

The zombie apocalypse descends on Japan!

 

Surrounded by hordes of hungry zombies, Akira comes to a realization that will forever change his life…

The anime adaptation is scheduled to begin airing in July 2023.
