ZOIDS Teases 40th Anniversary Project

Amazingly, Takara Tomy’s ZOIDS series of robot animal model kits is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, and as such the occasion calls for something special. While we don’t yet know what that is, we do know that a new project is in the works, and the official accounts have teased it for sometime this spring. 

References in the tease include Planet Zi and the phrase “He’s coming back…” which could refer to ZOIDS: Chaotic Century protagonist Van Flyheight. The teaser also includes some footage from the ZOIDS TV anime, so perhaps a new series is on the way. We’ll have to wait and see for ourselves!
