Zem Lives It Up in Ningen Fushin: Adventurers Who Don’t Believe in Humanity Will Save the World TV Anime PV

Zem flashes a charming wink in a scene from the upcoming Ningen Fushin: Adventurers Who Don't Believe in Humanity Will Save the World TV anime.

Adventure beckons, because a new character preview video and key visual have been published for Ningen Fushin: Adventurers Who Don’t Believe in Humanity Will Save the World, an upcoming TV anime based on the fantasy light novel series written by Shinta Fuji and illustrated by Susumu Kuroi about a rag-tag band of misanthropic would-be heroes who band together over a mutual grievance.

The new PV and visual (below) focus on Zem, a former priest who wields holy magic to heal and boost the defenses of his fellow party members. Zem is still traumatized from being captured and imprisoned by a young lady during his past. His hobby is visiting hostess clubs.

The original light novels are published in Japan by Media Factory under their MF Books imprint, and an English language version of the series is also available from Yen Press under the title Apparently, Disillusioned Adventurers Will Save the World. Crunchyroll describes the story of the series as follows:

The city of Terene in the Holy Kingdom of Dinez is a melting pot of races and professions: adventurers looking to get rich quick, quick-witted merchants, singing and dancing bards, nobles, holy men, beastfolk, and more. The town itself is so labyrinthine that it has been nicknamed the Labyrinth Town. Nick, a heartbroken Light Warrior who has been kicked out of the Martial Arts adventuring party and deceived by his lover, is a resident of this city. Fed up with everything, he visits a bar only to find bad food, adventurers living it up, and uninteresting tablemates. As he drowns his sorrows in lukewarm beer, all of his irritation and discontent burst forth in one declaration: “Humans can’t be trusted!’ He thought he was only voicing his own frustration, but in reality, the statement came from four voices… Thus begins the adventure of four people who each carry their own scars!

Surrounded by a lavish fruit platter and ice buckets filled with bottles of fine wine, the former priest Zem laughs and blushes while sampling a glass of red wine and being fawned over by a pair of pretty cabaret girls in a new key visual for the upcoming Ningen Fushin: Adventurers Who Don't Believe in Humanity Will Save the World TV anime.

The Ningen Fushin: Adventurers Who Don’t Believe in Humanity Will Save the World TV anime is directed by Itsuki Imazaki and features animation production by GEEKTOYS. The series will broadcast in Japan on TOKYO MX, BS11, KBS Kyoto, and other stations beginning on January 10, 2023, and it will also stream on Crunchyroll as part of the winter 2023 anime simulcast lineup.
