Crushes are in season this Valentine’s Day with the upcoming comedy TV anime Yuri is My Job!, based on the manga of the same name by Miman, serving up not only a helping of love but also a brand-new trailer, the main key visual and a Japanese TV premiere date of April 6.

The Yuri is My Job! TV anime adaptation is being directed by Hijiri Sanpei (Wasteful Days of High School Girls) at Passione and STUDIO LINGS, with character designs by Taisuke Iwasaki (Higurashi: When They Cry – GOU chief animation director) and production by infinite.

The original manga by Miman began serialization in Ichijinsha’s Comic Yuri Hime in 2016, with eleven volumes released so far in Japan. Kodansha USA releases the English version of the manga. Crunchyroll, who’ll be streaming the series as it airs in Japan, describes the story as such:

 

Hime gets roped into working at a weird café where the waitresses pretend to be students at an all-girl boarding school. She’s strangely taken with her partner Mitsuki, who’s so kind to her in front of the customers. There’s just one problem…Mitsuki really can’t stand her!
