Yume Miyamoto will Return to The Role of Nika Nanaura in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury
The official website for Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury announced today that Yume Miyamoto will return to the role of Nika Nanaura with her recovery.

As reported, she has been taking a hiatus from activities due to health issues since last November. Her agency Himawari Theatre Group said at the time, “Since the end of October, she has been in poor health and we have decided to give priority to her medical treatment for the time being.”
From the 10th to 12th episodes of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, Haruka Shiraishi (Asirpa in Golden Kamuy) was playing Nika Nanaura as a substitute. The anime’s second season is set to premiere in April 2023, and Miyamoto is expected to be playing her character from its early episodes.

Her agency Himawari Theatre Group also wrote on Twitter, “After taking a temporary hiatus, we have decided to gradually resume her work while taking into consideration her physical condition. We sincerely apologize to all parties concerned and her fans for any concern and inconvenience this may have caused. We appreciate your continued support for her.”
