Yoh Asakura VA Yoko Hikasa Sings Shaman King Opening Theme for CrosSing Project
Following “Kaikai Kitan” by Miyu Tomita, voice actress Yoko Hikasa sang “Over Soul,” the first opening theme song for the first Shaman King TV anime in 2001-2002, for the latest third season of the cover song project CrosSing.

The song was originally performed by Megumi Hayashibara, the voice of the Shaman King anime’s main heroine Anna Kyoyama, and Hikasa voiced the protagonist Yoh Asakura in the reboot TV anime in 2021-2022.
A recoding movie featuring Hikasa’s performance in a recording booth is now streamed on the project’s official YouTube channel. She says in a video message on Twitter, “I knew the song and remembered the lyrics so well that I memorized them, but it was very difficult to actually sing it, but I had a lot of fun, and I hope everyone will listen to it.”
