Weekly Shonen Jump Launches Educational Manga Magazine With Top Creators
An age-old adage says that the best way to learn is to have fun doing so and what better way to have fun than by reading manga? To being the “fun” back into funducation, Shonen Jump will be launching the Bentame Jump manga magazine on April 1 with some of the top manga creators from the past decade creating new series’ for it.

Billed as a magazine for the curious at any age, the magazine will hold serialized works as well as one-shots from some of the biggest manga creators on Shueisha’s roster. Bentame Jump combines the Japanese word for study, “benkyou” with the Japanese katakana word for entertainment “entame.”
A full list of the works that will be appearing in the April 1 magazine includes:
- Karada no Fushigi from Dr. STONE’s Boichi
- Pyramid no Himitsu from Beelzebub’s Ryuhei Tamura
- Kantan Recipe from We Never Learn: BOKUBEN’s Taishi Tsutsui
- YouTube Kyoshitsu from Moriking’s Tomohiro Hasegawa
- Inu to Eigo from Haikyu!!’s Haruichi Furudate

More details on the magazine will be released in next week’s edition of Weekly Shonen Jump which released on March 13 in Japan.
