Uta no Prince-sama 2nd Concert Film Reaches Two Billion Yen Box Office Gross
Japanese film distributor Shochiku announced on February 15 that the cumulative total box office gross of Uta no Prince-sama The Movie: Maji LOVE ST☆RISH TOURS finally surpassed two billion yen (15.55 million USD) in five months since its release on September 2022. It has become the tenth Japanese anime film of 2022 that has reached the two billion yen mark.

The 65-minute second concert film featuring the seven-member idol unit ST☆RISH from the Uta no Prince-sama franchise was released in 128 theaters across Japan on September 2, 2022. It has earned 2,001,488,010 yen (15,562,642 USD) on 1,307,598 admissions by February 24, surpassing the total domestic gross of the franchise’s first concert film, Uta no Prince-sama The Movie: Maji LOVE Kingdom. The first film was released in Japan in June 2019 and earned 1.82 billion yen (14.15 million USD) from its total domestic run.
The DVD/Blu-ray of the film is set to be released on March 15, 2023.
