Uta no Prince-sama 2nd Concert Film Becomes Japan’s Weekly Top-Selling Blu-ray
According to the latest Oricon sales report, the first press limited edition Blu-ray of Uta no Prince-sama The Movie: Maji LOVE ST☆RISH TOURS sold an impressive 38,534 units in its first week, becoming the top-selling Blu-ray disc of the week in Japan.
Meanwhile, the Blu-ray disc’s regular edition sold 9,964 units, ranking third. And the DVD’s first press limited edition and regular edition sold 7,514 units and 3,855 units, ranking second and fifth, respectively. So the overall number of Blu-ray and DVDs sold in the first week combined was 59,867 units.
Following the successful first film in June 2019, Uta no Prince-sama The Movie: Maji LOVE Kingdom, the 65-minute second concert film featuring the seven-member idol unit ST☆RISH from the Uta no Prince-sama franchise was released in 128 theaters across Japan on September 2, 2022. It earned two billion yen (15.55 million USD) from its domestic theatrical run in Japan, surpassing the total domestic gross of the first film (1.82 billion yen).

The DVD/Blu-ray of the film was released in Japan on March 15, 2023. In addition to the film, the first press limited edition DVD/Blu-ray comes with a special package, a 100-page booklet, a bonus Blu-ray that includes a stage greeting event by voice actors, visual commentary, announcement voices, trailer/PVs and dancers’ choreography video, a bonus CD that includes six songs, and an advance entry coupon of the ticket for the forthcoming live event.
