Unexpected Friendship Flourishes in My Clueless First Friend TV CM
It’s time to get buddy-buddy, because a new 15 second TV spot, a new key visual, new cast members, and the Japanese broadcast schedule have all been revealed for My Clueless First Friend, an upcoming TV anime based on the everyday comedy manga by Taku Kawamura. The new cast members include:
Sumire Kasahara voiced by Wakana Maruoka.
Kotarou Kitagawa voiced by Kōhei Amasaki.
And Akane’s Father voiced by Jun Fukuyama.

The original My Clueless First Friend manga is serialized in Square Enix’s Monthly Gangan Joker magazine, and an English language version is also available from Square Enix Manga, who describe the story of the series as follows:

The My Clueless First Friend TV anime is directed by Shigenori Kageyama and features animation production by Studio Signpost. The series will broadcast in Japan according to the following TV schedule:
- TOKYO MX: every Sunday during the 22:00 time slot beginning on April 09, 2023.
- Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation: every Monday during the 25:59 time slot beginning on April 10, 2023.
- TV Aichi: every Monday during the 26:05 time slot beginning on April 10, 2023.
- BS Fuji: every Tuesday during the 24:00 time slot beginning on April 11, 2023.
- Animax: every Thursday during the 23:00 time slot beginning on April 15, 2023.
Please note that some Japanese TV schedules count early-morning programming as late-night programming for the previous day, so for example the 26:05 time slot on Monday evening is actually on Tuesday morning at 2:05am JST.
My Clueless First Friend will also stream on Crunchyroll as part of the spring 2023 anime simulcast lineup.
