Under Ninja TV Anime Adaptation Teased with Motion Manga Promo

Under Ninja

It’s been a while since we heard about the Under Ninja TV anime, which adapts the manga by I Am a Hero author Kengo Hanazawa and confirmed 2023 broadcast plans back in August. That’s still the case according to a new teaser trailer, which features motion manga-style snippets from the source material.

We’ll still have to wait a little longer for more details like cast, staff and air date, but for now you can check out the new teaser below.

Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine has been serializing the series since July 2018. DENPA publishes Under Ninja‘s official English version and describes the series as such:

After World War II, Allied Command in Japan developed a new agency to help manage terrorism and violence within the Pacific region. The agency was staffed with ninja and they were initially tasked to handle domestic affairs. Eventually that program grew to its current form, managing 20,000 ninja across a range of domestic and international affairs. One of those ninja happens to be Kudo. The seventeen-year-old high school loser is now poised to be the next line of defense against a potential surge in foreign assassins invading Tokyo.
