The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting Manga Has Over 1 Million Copies in Print

Nothing boosts a series’s popularity like an anime adaptation, and that certainly seems to hold true for Tsukiya’s The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting manga. The series kicked off its run on webcomic site Comic Ride Pixiv in June 2018 before moving to Comic ELMO in May 2020, and the eighth collected volume hit shelves in Japan on July 11, 2022. Now, Japanese publisher Micro Magazine has announced that the series officially has over one million copies in circulation in Japan.

Prior to the airing of the TV anime in July, The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting manga had around 500,000 copies in circulation, so that number has doubled in the matter of a single television season.
