Upcoming fantasy anime The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist in Another World conjured up its first full trailer today, showing off an epic adventure undertaken by a spirited ensemble. An additional cast member and theme song info were also released.

Kaede Hondo (Kaede in BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense.) joins the cast as Fiona Urd Alegreif.

angela (My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! OP) will perform “RECONNECTION” for the anime’s opening theme, while cast members Azumi Waki (Efa), Nene Hiede (Amu) and Akari Kito (Mabel) will perform “Link” for the ending theme as their respective characters.

Based on the light novels by Kosuzu Kiichi and Sisoe, The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist in Another World is being chief-directed by Nobuyoshi Nagayama (Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan) and directed by Ryosuke Shibuya at Studio Blanc, with series composition by Toko Machida (Kemono Michi: Rise Up), character designs by Masayoshi Kikuchi and Sayaka Ueno, and music by Alisa Okehazama (Beast Tamer).
Crunchyroll, who’ll be simulcasting the anime from January 2023, describes the series as such:
You can’t be happy if you’re just strong, even if you’re the strongest exorcist in the world. Exorcist Haruyoshi Kuga, called an unrivaled genius, is betrayed by the Imperial Court and about to die. Resolving to be happy in his next life, he uses a secret reincarnation technique he created and reincarnates in another world. And so he receives a new name, Seika, and a new life.
“What I lacked in my previous life was cunning. In this life, I’ll be more calculating and find happiness.” With the strongest exorcist techniques and strong demons working with him, what lies ahead for him? The peaceful life he wants, or…. This is the start of a story no one’s ever seen before: the story of the strongest exorcist in a fantasy world.
