The Idolm@ster Riamu Yumemi VA Seena Hoshiki Takes A Hiatus due to Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

 

 

Sony Music Artists announced on September 30 that voice actress Seena Hoshiki, best known as Riamu Yumemi in The Idolm@ster franchise, will take a hiatus from activities for a while due to Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL), a type of blood cancer.

 

According to the announcement, she was originally scheduled to perform in the reading play “Act Session vol. 1.5 “Kisho Tenketsu” held from September 8 to September 11 at ATELIER FANFARE Higashi Shinjuku in Tokyo, but due to her complaints of leg problems, she had to cancel her appearance. Afterwards, she underwent a thorough examination at a hospital and was diagnosed with Acute lymphocytic leukemia. She is currently hospitalized and undergoing treatment, and will suspend her voice acting and all related activities during the treatment period.

 

The agency writes, “Hoshiki is devoting herself to the treatment positively everyday, aiming to make a full recovery as soon as possible and to show everyone a healthy appearance. We would like to ask for your continued warm support for Seena Hoshiki.”
