Surgeon Elise Operates Anew as TV Anime Adaptation

The doctor is in, because a TV anime has been announced for Surgeon Elise (known as Gekai Elise in Japan), a popular Korean novel / web comic that tells the story of a woman who is reborn for the third time back in her first life with all of the surgical skills that she acquired in her second. The main staff for the series has been revealed, including:

The orignal Surgeon Elise novel is published by KW BOOKS Co.Ltd., while the web comic adaptation is published by KidariStudio, Inc.. An English language version is also available from Lezhin Comics under the title Doctor Elise. The story of the series follows Elise, a wicked-hearted empress who is executed for her crimes and spends her second life as selfless doctor to atone for her previous karma. Upon dying again suddenly, Elise finds herself reincarnated yet again in her original life, only with a new outlook and all of her modern surgical skills intact.

 

An official website and Twitter feed have been published for Surgeon Elise. Additional details about the TV anime adaptation (such as the cast and the release window) have not yet been revealed.
