Synonymous with Studio Ghibli in Japan is the Friday Roadshow movie block on Nippon TV, the exclusive place to watch the anime studio’s beloved films outside of their theatrical release or buy the home video versions of the films. To celebrate this connection, the two will be teaming up for the Friday Roadshow and Studio Ghibli Exhibition this June in Tokyo.
The exhibition will trace the history of the TV programming block on the back of Studio Ghibli films, which regularly populate the airwaves, bringing Japan to a standstill. There will be photo spots in the exhibition where attendees can pretend to be part of Studio Ghibli film posters as well as a giant Ghibli Magic Lantern Tower.
Also being exhibited are sculptures by modeling artist Takayuki Takeya of human-sized versions of the Ohmu from Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind as well as other creatures from the film.

The Friday Roadshow and Studio Ghibli Exhibition runs from June 29 to September 24 at the Warehouse TERRADA G in Tennozu, Tokyo, before moving to the Toyama Prefectural Museum of Art in Toyama Prefecture from October 7 to January 28.
