Strawberry Prince Shares CARDFIGHT!! VANGUARD will+Dress Season 2 Opening Theme MV
The official YouTube channel for Japanese boy band Strawberry Prince (SutoPuri for short), has posted a music video for “Accelerate,” the opening theme for the ongoing second season of the TV anime CARDFIGHT!! VANGUARD will+Dress. This is the second time that the band has provided a theme song for the VANGUARD franchise, folllowng their 19th digital single song “START,” which was featured as the opening theme for the CARDFIGHT!! VANGUARD overDress TV anime’s second season in 2021.

Strawberry Prince was formed in June 2016 and has been active in a wide range of activities such as music streaming, live webcasting, and live stage performances, mainly on YouTube and TwitCasting. Each member is represented by an illustrated character in web and media appearances.
“Accelerate” is included in the band’s fourth full-album “Here We Go!!” released on December 21, 2022, and peaked at #1 on Oricon’s weekly album charts. The band’s member Root worked on both the song’s lyrics and music, and various Vanguard terms are sprinkled through the lyrics.

Following the 13-episode first season that was aired from July to September 2022, the second season of CARDFIGHT!! VANGUARD will+Dress premiered in Japan on January 14, 2023, and has also been simulcast on Crunchyroll for members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East and CIS. Its third season has already been set to air in the summer of 2023.
