Star-Crossed Lovers Meet in My Happy Marriage TV Anime PV

 

Love and destiny are dramatic in a new trailer (below) for My Happy Marriage, an upcoming TV anime based on the series of fantasy light novels written by Akumi Agitogi and illustrated by Tsukiho Tsukioka. The Japanese broadcast schedule for the series has also been revealed. My Happy Marriage will broadcast as follows:

 

• TOKYO MX: every Wednesday during the 23:30 time slot beginning on July 05, 2023.
• Sun TV: every Wednesday during the 24:30 time slot beginning on July 05, 2023.
• KBS Kyoto: every Wednesday during the 25:00 time slot beginning on July 05, 2023.
• TV Aichi: very Wednesday during the 26:05 time slot beginning on July 05, 2023.
• BS11: every Thursday during the 24:30 time slot beginning on July 06, 2023.
• AT-X: every Thursday during the 21:00 time slot beginning on July 06, 2023.

 

Please note that some Japanese TV schedules count early-morning programming as late-night programming for the previous day, so for example the 25:00 time slot on Wednesday evening is actually on Thursday morning at 1:00am JST.

 

 

Additionally, a new cast member has been revealed for the series: Arata Tsuruki voiced by Ryohei Kimura.

Known as Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon in Japan, the original My Happy Marriage novels are published by Fujimi Shobo under their Fujimi L Bunko imprint. An English language version of the series is also available from Yen Press, who describe the story of the series as follows:

 

IS THIS MARRIAGE A BLESSING? OR A CURSE? Born talentless to a noble family famous for their supernatural abilities, Miyo Saimori is forced into an existence of servitude by her abusive stepmother. When Miyo finally comes of marriageable age, though, her hopes of being whisked away to a better life crumble after she discovers her fiancé’s identity: Kiyoka Kudou, a commander apparently so cold and cruel that his previous would-be brides all fled within three days of their engagements. With no home to return to, Miyo resigns herself to her fate-and soon finds that her pale and beautiful husband-to-be is anything but the monster she expected. As they slowly open their hearts to each other, both realize the other may be their chance at finding true love and happiness.

 

The My Happy Marriage TV anime is directed by Takehiro Kubota and features animation production by Kinema Citrus. The series will stream in international markets on Netflix.
