SPY x FAMILY CODE: White Anime Film Stays at #1, Celebrates Over 3 Billion Yen

More than 2.5 million people have seen the SPY x FAMILY CODE: White anime film in Japanese theaters so far, making the feature a certifiable hit. The big screen outing for the Forgers stayed at #1 in its second weekend, and TOHO animation celebrated passing the milestone of 3 billion yen with a special video. 

SPY x FAMILY CODE: White has pulled in over 3.4 billion so far on more than 2.59 million tickets, adding up to roughly US$23.74 million. 

If you want to go in totally blind, be aware that this trailer shows off some of the big action and comedy moments from the film, which will open in North America this year. 

Creator Tatsuya Endo is supervising SPY x FAMILY CODE: White, which is being made at both WIT STUDIO and CloverWorks. It’s being directed by Takashi Katagiri, who has been an episode director and assistant director for the TV anime series. Credit for the scriptwriting goes to Ichiro Okouchi.

He’s a spy. She’s an assassin. Together, Loid and Yor keep their double lives to themselves while pretending to be the perfect family. However, their adopted daughter Anya, a telepath, knows both of their exciting secrets unbeknownst to them. While under the guise of taking his family on a weekend winter getaway, Loid’s attempt to make progress on his current mission Operation Strix proves difficult when Anya mistakenly gets involved and triggers events that threaten world peace!
