Sony’s SACRA MUSIC FES Returned to Stages to Sold-Out Crowds

The Sony Music label SACRA MUSIC celebrated its fifth anniversary with its own music festival—the SACRA MUSIC FES. The festival was held at the Makuhari Messe Event Hall in Chiba for two days (November 26-27 2022) to sold-out crowds.

 

The event hosted a number of artists signed to SACRA MUSIC, including Aimer (who contributed songs to Chainsaw Man and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba), FLOW (Naruto), ClariS (Lycoris Recoil, Cells at Work!!), Eir Aoi (Sword Art Online, Fate/Zero), SawanoHiroyuki[nZk] (Attack on Titan, 86 EIGHTY SIX), TrySail (Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story), PENGUIN RESEARCH (ReLIFE), Sangatsu no Phantasia (A Couple of Cuckoos, Kiznaiver), Soma Saito (Sasaki and Miyano, STARMYU), ASCA (Sword Art Online, Darwin’s Game), halca (Kaguya-sama: Love is War, We Never Learn: BOKUBEN), spira spica (My Dress-Up Darling), ReoNa (Sword Art Online), Shuka Saito (Love Live! Sunshine!!, Akebi’s Sailor Uniform), Tomori Kusunoki (Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online), Miki Sato (Otherside Picnic), and SennaRin (Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War), as well as a surprise appearance from LiSA (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, My Hero Academia).

The event saw a number of collaborations between artists including Eir Aoi guesting on FLOW’s performances of “COLORS” and “GO!!!,” ClariS and TrySails performing “Orgel” (music box), their first collaborative work live for the first time, and SawanoHiroyuki[nZk] bringing Aimer out during the closing to sing “RE: IAM,” a song Sawano had written for her. LiSA’s surprise apperance saw her performing her song “Homura” which acted as the event’s grand finale. Who-ya Extended was also announced to be moving to SACRA MUSIC during the event.

 

The next SACRA MUSIC FES is planned to take place in Saudi Arabia as a part of “Japan Anime Town,” an area within capital city Riyadh’s “Boulevard World” event. A total of 11 SACRA MUSIC artists will perform every week from December 7 through 31.

 

The footage of “SACRA MUSIC FES. 2022 -5th Anniversary” is slated for a physical package release on April 12, 2023.
