Shibuya TOEI Cinema Calls on Pretty Cure for Final Live Talk Event

Next month, Shibuya TOEI closes its doors after nearly seven decades of entertainment. But the TOEI-owned cinema has planned out its last hurrah, and it’s calling on Pretty Cure for one of its final events!

Sayonara Shibuya TOEI will take place December 4, screening fan-favorites Poppoya (1999) and Battle Royale (2000) on the way out. But the day before, they’ll be holding their final live talk event in honor of Delicious Party Pretty Cure the Movie: Dreamy Children’s Lunch!

Prior to the screening, members of the staff will appear to discuss the making of the film. Scheduled to be in attendance are director Akifumi Zako, screenwriter Jin Tanaka, and producers Aki Murase and Kanako Tada. Plus, posters from all 31 Pretty Cure movies will be on display in the cinema lobby. And as a special treat, all attendees will receive a “Dreamy Ring”—a gift for attendees of all ages for this screening only.

Shibuya TOEI opened in November of 1953, and its closure was announced last month. One other TOEI-owned cinema, Marunouchi TOEI, will remain in business in Chuo City, Tokyo.
