A portmanteau of “animal” and the Japanese “bosabosa”, used to mean both untidy hair and whiling away, the adorable mascot characters of Sanrio’s Bosanimal line are officially heading to the small screen for a short TV anime adaptation this April.

You can already meet the central trio of Sakura, Cassie and Ran (character romanizations unconfirmed) in the anime’s first key visual that accompanied the announcement below. A trailer and main staff details were also revealed.
