Rent-a-Girlfriend Anime’s Sumi Gets a Sweet Season 3 Date Visual

 

Sumi is the last of the original four Rent-a-Girlfriend TV anime girls to get a brand new character visual ahead of the third season this July, having said visual release today showing Sumi surrounded by flowers. Furthermore, the series announced that helca will be performing the opening theme.

 

 

The opening theme song “Renai mm Film (Romance mm Film),” which will be performed by helca, was written and composed by Yuuho Kitazawa, who is the lead on the peggies, which is currently on indefinite hiatus. The “mm film” in the song name refers to 35mm film stock and is a nod to the arc being adapted in this season as well as a subtle reference to the peggies song “Centimeter,” which was the first season-opening theme to Rent-a-Girlfriend.

Episode director on the previous two seasons of Rent-a-Girlfriend, Shinya Une, has been promoted to series director with Kazuomi Koga stepping down from the role. Mitsutaka Hirota returns as the series composer alongside Kanna Hirayama as character designer and Hyadain on music. The animation continues to be produced at TMS Entertainment with Studio Comet cooperating on production. The third season will continue to air in TBS/MBS’s Super Animeism programming block when it airs this July and stream on Crunchyroll. Crunchyroll describes the series as such:

 

A hopeless college student, Kinoshita Kazuya, meets a graceful rental girlfriend, Mizuhara Chizuru, and ends up introducing her as his girlfriend to his family and friends. Time goes on with Kazuya unable to tell the truth, as he’s surrounded by devilish ex-girlfriend Nanami Mami, who keeps coming back to tempt him for some reason, hyper-aggressive provisional girlfriend Sarashina Ruka, who doesn’t know how to take no for an answer, and super shy but diligent and hardworking younger rental girlfriend, Sakurasawa Sumi… beautiful girlfriends of all types! The pub, the beach, hot springs, Christmas, and New Year’s… Having gone through these challenging events, Kazuya’s feelings for Chizuru keep growing stronger. But she reveals a shocking truth that threatens to shake their “relationship” to the very core!
