It comes as no surprise then that members a-chan, NOCCHi, and KASHIYUKA are big, big anime fans. Crunchyroll recently spoke to the trio about their current anime watchlist and why Love Live! have the best karaoke songs. Now, the electro-pop band share their favorite anime of all time with Crunchyroll and why these shows have earned a spot at the top.

KASHIYUKA

KASHIYUKA’s favorites are dominated by heavy hitters such as Attack on Titan, JUJUTSU KAISEN, and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure

“I like that the names of enemies and Stand, the spiritual power, are incorporated into artist names and song titles. Even enemies have their own strong beliefs and determination so I can’t simply call them “evil” and there are a lot of cool villain characters.” – KASHIYUKA on JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure

On JUJUTSU KAISEN, she “loves the exhilarating feeling of overcoming any obstacle with their strong beliefs and pursuit of justice!” and that her favorite character is Toge Inumaki. Other favorites included character-driven sports drama Chihayafuru and historical drama Golden Kamuy

a-chan

a-chan’s top titles are a mix of contemplative drama films such as Mamoru Hosoda’s Wolf Children and Makoto Shinkai’s Your Name. and mega-hit series such as One Piece and SPY x FAMILY

“For humans, I think sexuality, nationality and color of your skin shouldn’t matter. But after watching this anime, I started thinking that maybe all living creatures, not just humans, can connect and understand each other.” – a-chan on Wolf Children

a-chan said that THE PROMISED NEVERLAND taught her that “even demons have hearts” and that “kind hearts on both sides trying to understand each other” was so touching it left her in tears.

NOCCHi

NOCCHi’s anime list is jam packed with prestige darlings such as coming-of-age drama March comes in like a lion, slice-of-life iyashikei Laid-Back Camp, anime original Lycoris Recoil, and 2023 Anime of the Year winner Cyberpunk: Edgerunners

“Just by seeing them, I can relax, too. I usually play this anime when I clean my house because having this anime and the songs playing in the room, I can feel the air purifying.” – NOCCHi on Laid-Back Camp

A big fan of the mecha genre, NOCCHi chose two titles from the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise to include in her recommendations.
