“Rayearth” Hikaru VA Hekiru Shiina to Stream Christmas Online Concert for Free on December 24
Voice actress/singer Hekiru Shiina, best known as Hikaru Shidou in Magic Knight Rayearth and Ami Chono in GIRLS und PANZER, will stream her Christmas online concert for free on YouTube, LINE LIVE, and TikTok from 18:00 (JST) / 01:00 (PT) on December 24.
Shiina made her voice acting debut in 1993. She became the first anime voice actress who held a solo concert at Nippon Budokan in 1997 and achieved great success in the 1990s as one of the voice actress singers. She has released 44 singles and 18th albums so far. Recently, she appeared as the voice of Pipimi in the sixth episode of the Pop Team Epic TV anime second season. In April of this year, she released her first new song in two and a half years, “Aozora Highway,” and on April 17, she successfully held her solo live concert “Shiina Hekiru LIVE~STARTING LEGEND 2022 ‘R’~” at Ikebukuro Club Mixa in Tokyo.
At the special online concert, with special support members, she will perform not only her own songs but also cover songs related to Christmas. She is now asking fans to post their messages on Twitter with the hashtag #へきる姫とクリスマス2022. She may read them out in real time during the stream’s talk part. Also, she plans to reveal a special Christmas present from her.
