Pop Team Epic Author Bkub Okawa Illustrates Cover for Umamusume: Pretty Derby Manga Anthology

 

If you’re a fan of the anarchic whimsy of Pop Team Epic, then here’s some news that’s likely to make you feel hot to trot: manga author Bkub Okawa is providing the cover illustration for the fifth volume of Umamusume: Pretty Derby Anthology STAR, a publication that features various manga artists providing their takes on the popular mixed media project by Cygames that imagines real life race horses as cute anime girls.

Published in Japan by Seikasha, Umamusume: Pretty Derby Anthology STAR Volume 05 features comics by Misou Onou, Oekaki Enpitsu, Pon, Rarukan Sakeno, Tonpuu, Arayuru Arito, Nawowowowowowo, Kashiko Kurobuchi, Dark, Minari Endoh and Toki. The book is 128 pages in length and it retails for 770 yen (about $5.48 ). It will be released in Japan on November 30, 2022.
