One Piece Video Shows How We’ve Grown Up With Games for 23 Years

If you’re in the mood to get nostalgic about One Piece games, the official YouTube channel has just the promotional video for you. In the new One Piece Game Special Movie, titled “Today, Too, A Day Like a Game,” we watch as a One Piece fan grows up with the game series over the past 23 years, from the first entry on WonderSwan to the current generation of consoles and PCs.

That initial WonderSwan adventure, One Piece: Mezase Kaizoku O!, first launched in Japan on July 19, 2000, and 2023 kicked off with the January 13 launch of One Piece Odyssey on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Check out the delightful video—directed by Sho Yanagisawa and featuring Momoko Nitta and Ken Miyakubo—below.
