NieR:Automata Video Game Hits 7 Million Copies Shipped Around the World

Fans of the NieR series have come out for the latest games in the PlatinumGames-produced franchise with the official Japanese Twitter account for the series revealing that NieR:Automata, which was released back in 2017, has shipped over 7 million copies. NieR:Automata only recently ported to the Nintendo Switch on October 20

 

These figures also include downloaded copies from the PlayStation Store, Steam and Nintendo eShop.

 

 

 

 

NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139…, the 1.5 remaster of the original NieR game which was released in 2021, has also been confirmed 1.5 million copies sold across the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam.

The NieR:Automata game will be getting a TV anime adaptation in January 2023 under the title NieR:Automata Ver1.1a. Square Enix describes the story of the original NieR:Automata video game as follows:
