My Melody’s Rival Kuromi Gets Her Own Short Anime Series KUROMI’S PRETTY JOURNEY
Sanrio will begin streaming KUROMI’S PRETTY JOURNEY, an all-new new short anime series starring My Melody’s rival character Kuromi, on February 17, 2023 on Kuromi’s official YouTube channel and TikTok.
Kuromi is a character from Sanrio’s first TV anime series Onegai My Melody, which was broadcast for four years from 2005. She has gained popularity, especially among Generation Z, and even ranked third in the Sanrio Character Awards, a popularity voting project for Sanrio characters, in 2022.
KUROMI’S PRETTY JOURNEY is a 21-episode short anime series featuring Kuromi, in which she travels around the world in search of her missing sister, Romina, who makes her first appearance in this anime. In addition to Romina, a number of new characters will appear, including the friends who travel with Kuromi and a member of an evil organization that stands in the way of their journey.
A teaser trailer features the anime’s ending theme song “Fuhen” sung by Japanese solo singer ano, who sang the ending theme for the seventh episode of the TV anime Chainsaw Man, “ALL KINDS OF KISSES.”
