My Dress-Up Darling Manga Boasts Over 7.5 Million Copies in Circulation

September 24 marked the launch of the 10th volume of the My Dress-Up Darling manga, and author Shinichi Fukuda saw the opportunity to celebrate. As the author’s official account revealed, the series has now rocketed past 7.5 million copies in circulation, including copies printed physically and sold digitally. 

With that number in place, it means two million copies of that total have been accounted for since the anime adaptation ended back in March. Over four million have been printed physically and sold digitally since the anime debuted, making up over half of the series’s impressive total. 

A sequel was recently announced for the My Dress-Up Darling anime, which is currently streaming on Crunchyroll. Here’s the official synopsis:

Wakana Gojo is a high school boy who wants to become a kashirashi–a master craftsman who makes traditional Japanese Hina dolls. Though he’s gung-ho about the craft, he knows nothing about the latest trends, and has a hard time fitting in with his class. The popular kids–especially one girl, Marin Kitagawa–seem like they live in a completely different world. That all changes one day, when she shares an unexpected secret with him, and their completely different worlds collide.
