Murder Mystery Paradox: Fifteen Years of Summer

Murder Mystery Paradox: Fifteen Years of Summer is a visual novel that’s on the way from publisher Aniplex and developer Fahrenheit 213 sometime this year, and Indie Live Expo 2023 offered up a great opportunity for a new preview. The latest look is short and sweet, with Aniplex delivering a 15-second teaser trailer highlighting some of the characters and conversations.

It was also revealed that Keisuke Oyama will perform opening theme song “REMEMBRANCE,” which was written by Masami Kakinuma and composed and arranged by Cheru Watanabe.

The visual novel’s Steam page is live but at the time of this writing the game is planned for Japanese language only. Here’s the description:

August, 2004.

Shikinejima — a secluded island that only a few hundred people call home.

Fifteen-year-old Itsuki Amazawa has come to visit the island for the very first time.

At his adoptive mother’s childhood home, he and his newly met cousins pass the summer days in peace and quiet.

That is, until Itsuki learns the truth about the island…

Strange incidents known to the locals as “Shikinejima Vanishings” have been occurring around the island.

And deeply entangled in these puzzling happenings are people that Itsuki holds dear.

Will he be able to uncover the truth and save those he cares about?
