Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury TV Anime to Take Some Weeks Off This Month

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury

This time of the year is busy for everyone, leaving not much room on the schedule to get everything done. Because of this, the official Twitter account for the series has announced that the usual broadcast schedule for the currently airing Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury TV anime has been usurped by end-of-year programming on Japanese TV, causing the series to be postponed twice over the next month.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury will be airing as usual on December 11 before going on break on December 18 for TBS’s “Houdou no Hi 2022” special program that looks back on all the biggest news of the year. Then The Witch from Mercury will return on December 25 for its 11th episode before going on break again on January 1 due to New Year’s programming. The final episode for this part of the series will then air on January 8.

Hiroshi Kobayashi, who directed TRIGGER’s original anime KIZNAIVER, is helming Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury at Bandai Namco Filmworks anime studio brand Sunrise alongside Code Geass co-creator Ichiro Okouchi as scriptwriter and series composer. Crunchyroll is currently simulcasting the series and describes it as such:

A.S. (Ad Stella) 122― An era when a multitude of corporations have entered space and built a huge economic system. A lone girl from the remote planet Mercury transfers to the Asticassia School of Technology, run by the Beneritt Group which dominates the mobile suit industry. Her name is Suletta Mercury. With a scarlet light burning in her pure heart, this girl walks step by step through a new world.
