Mika Nakashima Sings about Unfulfilled Wish in Berserk: The Golden Age Arc – Memorial Edition ED Theme MV

November 2, the CD single release day in Japan, Japanese singer Mika Nakashima posted a full music video for her 47th single song “Wish,” which has been featured as the ending theme for Berserk: The Golden Age Arc Memorial Edition.

The lyrics of the song were written Nakashima herself. It is a lyrical ballad about an unfulfilled wish that you lose someone you love, but still wanting to see them.

The music video was directed by Hidenobu Tanabe, a filmmaker who has produced many video works, including music vidoes for Aimyon, AKB48, Official HIGE DANdism, BABYMETAL, and Kenshi Yonezu. It depicts the sad world view of the song with two worlds of “light and darkness” in spectacular locations.

After the long shoot, Nakashima said, “I’ve done a lot of shoots in the past, but there is one scene that I felt scared for the first time in this music video, I hope it turned out cool. The world of ‘light’ and ‘darkness’ is depicted in an easy-to-understand manner. I think the video was able to express strong feelings and sadness. I hope you enjoy it.”
