Meet Sweet Reincarnation’s All-Female Stage Play Main Cast Members
Prior to its opening on Wednesday, the stage play adaptation of Nozomu Koryu’s isekai fantasy light novel series Sweet Reincarnation, titled Sweet Reincarnation – Apple pie with a smile –, revealed its main cast members in costume. This play will be performed by an all-female cast, including male characters.

The novel has been serialized on the self-publishing website Shousetsuka ni Narou website since February 2015, with its print edition published by TO Books since October of the same year. The series has released 22 volumes so far with a total circulation of one million copies. J-Novel Club, the publisher of the novel’s manga adaptation illustrated by Seriko Iida describes the first volume’s story as below:
Pastry Mille Morteln, age 9, is both his father’s heir and the reincarnation of an unfulfilled pastry chef. While he dreams of a land filled with sweet treats, there’s a lot to be done first! From learning how to fight, to controlling his new magical talents and doing his best to defend his village from bandits, and yet all he really wants to do is bake the perfect apple pie… Pastry Mille Morteln has his work cut out for him in Sweet Reincarnation.
This is the novel’s second stage adaptation following the successful first play Sweet Reincarnation – How to Make a Delicious Smile – in December 2020. This second play tells an original story inspired by the novel’s first volume. It centers on the struggles of the children and the growth of the future lord, Pas, who will lead the children to maturity as their first lord.
Sweet Reincarnation – Apple pie with a smile – is scheduled to premiere at the CBGK!! theater in Shibuya, Tokyo, from March 8 to 12, 2023.

The novel’s TV anime adaptation produced by SynergySP is set to premiere in July 2023.
