Macross Franchise Plans First 3DCG Live Concert This Summer

 

 

Bandai Namco Amusement will hold a special event “Macross Frontier Pop-up Stage” in conjunction with the facility-based character event “CG STAR LIVE Short Show” and the 15th anniversary of the Macross Frontier anime series from June 24 to August 27, 2023, at IKEBUKURO THEATER in the Namco Bandai Cross Store Tokyo.

 

The “Macross Frontier Pop-Up Stage” features a stage where the two singer characters from Macross Frontier – Sheryl “Galactic Fairy” Nome and Ranka “Super-Dimension Cinderella” Lee. They appear in front of the audience in life-size 3DCG and perform on stage. This is the Macross franchise’s first real 3DCG live show in its 41-yesr history.

 

Some of the songs performed will be voted on by the audience, so the contents of the show will change with each performance.The price for the standard ticket is 3,800 yen (28.37 USD) and that for the special ticket with original goods is 4,800 yen (35.85 USD).

 

The key visual featuring Sheryl and Rank in their costumes from Labyrinth of Time is newly dran by the original character designer, Risa Ebata.
