LUPIN ZERO Explores Gentleman Thief’s Origins in December of 2022

Lupin, a young boy who will grow up to be the legendary gentleman thief Lupin the 3rd, is up to some shenanigans in a scene from the upcoming LUPIN ZERO anime series.

 

Every anti-hero has an origin story, and in December of 2022, LUPIN ZERO – a newly announced 6 episode streaming anime series – will explore the boyhood misadventures of the kid who grows up to be the world famous gentleman thief, Lupin the Third. The main staff has been revealed for the series, including:

LUPIN ZERO is set in Tokyo in the early 1960’s, where a 13 year old boy called Lupin has yet to leave an impression on the world at large as a master of larceny. The series follows young Lupin as he seeks to make his mark during a period of tremendous economic growth in Japan.

An official home page and Twitter feed have also been published for LUPIN ZERO. More details (such as the cast, theme song, and online distribution platform) will be revealed at a later date. Additionally, the series will have a premiere screening at the Anime NYC convention, which runs from November 18 – 20, 2022, in New York City, New York, USA.
