Lupin the Third Sets His Sights on McDonald’s in Shadowy Teaser

 

Over the last 50+ years, Lupin the Third and his gang have stolen everything from cash to crypto, from national monuments to ancient technology. Now, though, it seems they have their sights set on the golden arches.

 

This shadowy tweet on the official McDonald’s Japan Twitter account shows Lupin, Jigen, and Goemon in silhouette. The tweet itself reads: “Is the gang coming to McDonald’s?”

This wouldn’t be the first foodie collab for the long-running series. Five years ago, visitors to curry chain CoCo Ichibanya were greeted by a familiar calling card, leading to a crossover event with unique menu items and merchandise. With the Lupin the Third anime riding its 50th anniversary festivities across multiple years, we can likely expect something fun in the near future.

 

So what does Lupin want? The recipe for secret sauce? A hidden treasure? Chicken nuggets? We’ll find out soon.
