Lupin the Third Crosses Over with Cat’s Eye in New Anime 

Two anniversaries unite in a new project that has Lupin the Third mixing it up with Cat’s Eye. The former is celebrating its 50th anniversary while the latter is celebrating the Cat’s Eye manga’s 40th, and the two series are coming together in an Amazon Original anime. Lupin the 3rd VS Cat’s Eye is currently scheduled to premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in 2023, and you can check out a trailer below. 

Kobun Shizuno and Hiroyuki Seshita (Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters) are directing, with Keisuke Ide (Ajin) as deputy director, Haruhisa Nakata (ANONYMOUS;CODE) and Junko Yamanaka (animation director on Lupin the 3rd Part 6) as character designers, and Shuji Kuzuhara (Go! Anpanman: Dororin and the Ghost Carnival) on the screenplay for the TMS Entertainment production. 

The cast includes Kanichi Kurita back as Lupin and Keiko Toda returning as Hitomi Kisugi, among others.
