Love Live! Superstar!! to Reveal New First-year Student Members on April 28
New first-year student members who will join Liella!, the school idol unit in Love Live! Superstar!!, will be revealed in the June 2023 issue of KADOKAWA’s LoveLive！Days magazine to be published in Japan on April 28, 2023. The news was announced at the final show of the nine-member VA unit’s “Love Live! Superstar!! Liella! 3rd LoveLive! Tour ~WE WILL!!~” held at Belluna Dome (capacity: 31,000) in Saitama on March 5.

Liella! started their activity as a five-member unit first in December 2020. The initial five members were – Sayuri Date (Kanon Shibuya), Liyuu (Keke Tang), Nako Misaki (Chisato Arashi), Naomi Payton (Sumire Heanna), and Nagisa Aoyama (Ren Hazuki). Then, in the 27th issue of the LoveLive! Days magazine released in April 2022, four additional members were announced – Nozomi Suzuhara (Kinako Sakurakoji), Akane Yabushima (Mei Yoneme), Wakana Okuma (Shiki Wakana), and Aya Emori (Natsumi Onitsuka) -, then their characters joined the TV anime’s second season.
In a live streaming program that was streamed after the broadcast of the final episode of the TV anime second season on October 9, 2022, it was announced that the third season got the green light and that an open audition for one new member would be held. As of this writing, no word yet on how many new members will join.
Liella! current nine members:
As the fourth installment in the Love Live! anime franchise, the first season of the TV anime Love Live! Superstar!! aired for 12 episodes from July to October 2021, then the second season with another 12 episodes followed from July to October 2022. All episodes from the previous two seasons are available on Crunchyroll.
