Love Live! Franchise Steps into a New Arena with Original Stage Musical
Not content with just spanning anime, books, games, music and magazines, the now long-running Love Live! media franchise is officially taking to the stage for its first musical adaptation from December 10-15 in Tokyo and January 25-29 in Osaka, featuring a completely original story and a new set of characters.

Directed and written by Koki Kishimoto, the musical will follow two high schools in Hyogo and Osaka: Tsubakisakuhana Girls High School, which boasts a high college acceptance rate, and Takizakura Girls Academy, a popular school with an entertainment course. At the center of it all are the daughters of both schools’ chairwomen, who are fiercely competitive and lead their respective schools’ idol clubs.
