Love Flops Anime Has a Simulcast Date with HIDIVE

Love Flops

HIDIVE announced the Love Flops anime as the latest addition to its upcoming simulcast lineup today. The original sci-fi romcom is scheduled to kick off this fall as an exclusive on the service, with Sentai Filmworks to distribute the series on home video at a later date.

Love Flops is being directed by Nobuyoshi Nagayama (Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan), with scripts by Ryo Yasumoto (Steins;Gate 0) and character designs by Kazuyuki Ueda (KINMOZA!), who also serves as chief animation director. Anime studio Passione (Mieruko-chan) handles animation production.

Here’s how HIDIVE describes it:

Asahi Kashiwagi lives the typical life of an average high school student — until the day a TV fortune teller’s predictions come true one after another, culminating in a series of risqué encounters! Destiny seemingly draws five beautiful girls into Asahi’s path, and soon he finds himself fielding not one, not two, but five love confessions. Asahi will need to follow his heart to find the perfect love for him, or else his love fortunes may end in one epic flail and flop.
