Live-Action Voltes V Hype Gets Real in New Mega Trailer

1977 mecha anime Voltes V is coming to life once again thanks to a live-action series from the Philippines, where the classic show has enjoyed a high level of popularity over the years. GMA Network is currently producing Voltes V: Legacy through its GMA Pictures company, which previously worked on 1999 animated film Voltes V: Liberation. The premiere is planned for sometime before the end of the year, and you can see what they’ve been cooking up in the new “Mega Trailer” below.

Voltes V: Legacy is written by Suzette Doctolero and directed by Mark Reyes. Fans seem to be digging this so far, because the trailer has pulled in nearly 2 million views in the past four days.

Description:

Three brothers Steve (Miguel Tanfelix), Big Bert (Matt Lozano), and Little Jon Armstrong (Raphael Landicho), and their friends Jamie Robinson (Ysabel Ortega) and Mark Gordon (Radson Flores) join forces to defend the Earth from humanoid aliens, known as Boazanians, who plans to invade the planet and launch their beast fighters all over the world.
