Kirino VA Ayana Taketatsu Sings Oreimo Opening Theme “irony” for CrosSing Project Season 3
Following the Shaman King anime’s opening theme “Over Soul” by the protagonist Yoh Asakura VA Yoko Hikasa, voice actress Ayana Taketatsu sang “irony,” the first opening theme for the Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai / Oreimo anime, for the latest third season of the cover song project CrosSing. She voiced the anime’s main heroine, Kirino Kosaka. The song was originally performed by anisong duo ClariS and released as their major debut single in October 2010.

A recoding movie featuring Taketatsu’s performance in a recording booth is now streamed on the project’s official YouTube channel. She wrote on Twitter, “‘irony’ has been released! I love the last sentence of the lyrics. It is thanks to Oreimo and Kirino-chan that I have come to be able to stick to ‘I like what I like.’ The yellow hairpin is inspired by Kirino!”
