Keina Suda Drops Skip and Loafer Anime Opening Theme “Mellow” MV

 

 

The official YouTube channel for Japanese singer-songwriter Keina Suda, also known as vocaloid song creator balloon, has posted a music video for “Mellow,” the opening theme for the spring 2023 TV anime Skip and Loafer. The animation MV was directed by freelance animator and illustrator Navtza.

 

While performing as a vocaloid creator, he made his professional singer debut as himself from Warner Music Japan’s unBORDE label in January 2019, and has provided the theme songs for the 2019 feature film Ni no Kuni, the 2018 TV anime Fire Force, the 2022 TV anime Shadowverse Flame, and the 2022 feature film To Every You I’ve Loved Before. 

 

 

Message from Keina Suda:

 

I’m Keina Suda. I wrote the opening theme for the TV anime “Skip and Loafer.” I produced this music to depict how Shima-kun’s view of the world and his sense of value gradually changes when he meets Mitsumi, a person who walks straight ahead without hesitation. I was also trying to directly express the “sparkling part” that I felt when I read the original story, without twisting it. I would be happy if I could add even a little color to this anime.

The TV anime adaptation of Misaki Takamatsu’s romantic comedy manga Skip and Loafer premiered in Japan on April 4 and its first two episodes have been available on Crunchyroll for members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East and CIS.

Synopsis:
