Kaito Ishikawa Channels Xiao Xingchen in Character Trailer for Mo Dao Zu Shi’s Japanese Dub
As the Japanese dub of Mo Dao Zu Shi barrels towards the premiere of its final season on January 8, the series’ official Twitter account released a character trailer for the second of four new characters joining the roster: Xiao Xingchen, voiced by Kaito Ishikawa (Naofumi in The Rising of the Shield Hero).

The other new additional cast members are as follows:
- Koki Uchiyama (Inumaki in JUJUTSU KAISEN) as Xue Yang
- Takuya Eguchi (Loid in SPY x FAMILY) as Song Ran
- Aoi Yuki (Madoka in Puella Magi Madoka Magica) as A-Qing
Based on the web novel series by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu, Mo Dao Zu Shi follows Wei Wuxian, one of many practicioners attempting to cultivate a path to immortality. 13 years after his death, Wei Wuxian — who cultivated the controversial Demonic Path — he is summoned into a new body and met by fellow cultivator Lan Wangji. The two will join forces to solve a mystery that will shed light on Wei Wuxian’s own past.
