Hot off the heels of announcing its Japanese release date yesterday, Kaina of the Great Snow Sea: Star Sage will be getting the premiere treatment this weekend at the prestigious Annecy International Animation Film on June 16, complete with English subtitles.

The showing for Kaina of the Great Snow Sea: Star Sage will be held at the Bonlieu Grande Salle at 8:30 PM CET on June 16. Alongside the screening will be a special talk from producer Shuzo Shiota, president of Polygon Pictures.

The staff from the Kaina of the Great Snow Sea TV anime return for Kaina of the Great Snow Sea: Star Sage with Hiroaki Ando as the director at Polygon Pictures. The TV anime aired in the +Ultra block on Fuji TV from January 12, 2023, to March 23, 2023, with Crunchyroll streaming the series. The Star Sage anime film is set to be released on October 13 in Japan with Crunchyroll set to release the movie, describing it as such:

 

In another world where the Snow Sea continues to grow wider… The people were barely surviving atop the Canopy, which spreads out from giant trees called orbital spire trees.

 

When Kaina, a boy from the Canopy, meets Ririha, a princess from the Snow Sea, their journey to change a world heading for destruction begins.
